Academic Planning and Budget employs a number of UB's database
systems for its planning and reporting mission.
ePTF Electronic Personnel Transaction Form facilitates the flow
and business rule adherence of appointment processing.
eReq is the university's online requisition system. The eReq
system allows users the ability to submit requisitions using any of
the following three funding sources: State, Research Foundation
(RF), and UB Foundation (UBF).
InfoSource is the central data repository for UB. The data
contained in InfoSource is loaded regularly from various campus
systems, forming the most comprehensive data warehouse on
campus.
Host on Demand is software that allows users to access various
mainframe applications, such as SYS and CICS. Access to HOD is
provided automatically after you have been approved for access by a
UB Data
Trustee or access to Student Information
Systems.

The PI
Award Interface (PIAI) is a web based inquiry system developed
by The Research Foundation to assist PI's and their staff monitor
their award activity. PIAI has proven to be much easier to navigate
than the Oracle/RF Business System previously used, and has
received glowing reviews from it’s users.

The Research Foundation Portal is a central location for access
to RF systems and data. It is a SUNY-wide system. Once logged on to
the Portal with the proper security, you will be able to access the
The PI Award Interface system which contains information about RF
principle investigators and their awards or the Discoverer tool
which contains Research Foundation personnel and financial
data.
SIRI is a UB2020 initiative to provide a Single Authoritative
Source for Information, an enterprise analysis and reporting
solution, and improve the strategic, managerial, and operational
analysis, reporting, decision making capabilities of the University
community. SIRI was first deployed in December of 2007 and now
includes reports and dashboards for financial, human resource,
procurement, and Resource Management analysis and reports. Limited
research, philanthropy, space, and student information is available
as well. Together this SIRI functionality encompasses the reporting
available through BARS financial and HR inquiry, UBBusiness People
and Money, and InfoSource On-line financial, employee, and
inventory reports, with UBFirst screens on their way. SIRI is
presently available to senior management, CFO’s and their
operations, and administrative offices.
This system allows account holders to inquire into their
accounts and do any of the following tasks:
- Get account balances
- Lookup Transactions
- View scanned documents from disbursements and adjusting
entries
- Lookup encumbrances on accounts
- Run reports, such as the Account Activity Report
