The Office of Institutional Analysis coordinates the implementation of the Faculty Annual Reporting System on-line tool, Digital Measures Activity Insight. Data entry screens are specific to each decanal unit and are designed to capture the critical information for decision-support needs, as well as to populate individual faculty annual reports. Department Chairs and Deans can aggregate current and historical data across several units to facilitate analysis and reporting. Access to Digital Measures is gained through MyUB, is available on 24/7, 365 basis.

The Objectives of the Faculty Annual Reporting System are to:

  • Assemble the total constellation of professional activities in which faculty engage to foster an institutional understanding of faculty accomplishments and responsibilities;
  • Allow for better public exposure to UB faculty contributions of local, state, national, and international interest;
  • Provide a reliable and comprehensive information resource of faculty contributions and interests to support the University's Comprehensive Program Review process, college/school and university accreditation requirements, external reporting, and internal decision-support needs;
  • Satisfy state-mandated and UB required faculty annual reporting obligations.

Faculty Annual Report Guidelines

Late in the spring semester, a call is sent to the Deans from the Provost requesting that faculty complete the entry of their annual report information by the end of the semester. Deans establish specific deadlines for data entry and report submission, as well as any additional reporting requirements (i.e., submission of curriculum vita). However, faculty members are encouraged to continuously update the information housed in Digital Measures.
