The Office of Academic Planning and Budget (APB) serves as principal staff to senior leadership coordinating top-level academic, capital, enrollment and financial planning for the university. Reporting to APB are the departments of Resource Planning and Information Management, Institutional Analysis, and Capital Facilities and Space Planning.
The departments in APB share the goal of creating a university-wide emphasis on the importance of strategic thinking and planning by managing the opportunities to connect unit-based conversations that help shape and record meaningful plans for the university’s future. Through the work of APB, the convergence of academic, academic support, facilities, infrastructure and financial planning allow us to chart our progress in achieving our UB 2020 vision and help ensure that both unit-based and university-wide strategies stay relevant and on target toward meeting our larger objectives in regard to academic strategic strengths and service-based transformations.
